Most people give you only a one line description and maybe 2 pictures. Not me...I'm not ashamed. I will give you plenty of details. This is an extremely nice Vintage SUNBEAM Radiant Control Toaster, model T-35. The T35 was manufactured from the late 1950s. They were billed as "Amazing Beyond Belief" because they have No motor and No timer! I have bought, refurbished, and sold over 130 of these wonderful toasters...and very few were as nice as this one. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give this one a 9.4. This toaster has been obviously very well cared for for the last 60+ years. You can't use a scratch pad on chrome, and many of these toasters suffered from improper cleaning which left hundreds of swirling scratches. Well NOT this one. The Chrome finish has NO dents, NO gouges, NO corrosion, and NO swirling. The outer shell is chrome plated copper and is in near mint condition. It's almost museum quality. There is a faint scratch or two that you would have to get within 12 inches to even notice. Otherwise this beautiful chrome shell is in near mint condition. I cleaned this with some Windex, but it may benefit from some good Chrome polish. This was like taking a picture of a mirror! The Bakelite base is intact with NO cracks and retains all of it's original luster. The gold foil Sunbeam emblems on the handles are still clean, shiny, and legible. The light/dark control knob is sensitive, but works fine. This is the original power cord with the Sunbeam logo. This 1960s cord is not grounded but it is in excellent shape and tested fine with no resistance on my OHM meter. The crumb tray is free from all scorching and corrosion.This toaster is pretty darn clean, and you can sure tell it never got much use. Obviously this was cared for properly, and maybe even been in storage for many years. It is one of the cleanest one that I've ever seen! At 1275 watts, this baby is more powerful than your average microwave. I think it looks pretty darn good for a 65 year old toaster. I would have to call this toaster almost perfect! I re-calibrated the Light/Dark control knob. The medium setting resulted in the actual toast as you see in the pictures. I will be listing many more of my T-35s and T-20s.
