Most people give you only a one line description and maybe 2 pictures. Not me...I'm not ashamed. I will give you plenty of details. This is a beautiful early 1960s Vintage SUNBEAM Radiant Control Toaster, model T-35-1. This is the improved upgrade to the popular T-35. These were only manufactured from 1961 to about 1965. They were billed as "Amazing Beyond Belief" because they have No motor and No timer! I have bought, refurbished, and sold over a hundred of these wonderful toasters. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give this one an 8.8. This all-original toaster has been obviously very well cared for for the last 60+ years. The Chrome finish has NO dents, NO gouges, and very minor scuffs from years of use. You'd have to be 12 inches close to even notice them. I cleaned this with some Windex, but it may benefit from some good Chrome polish. This was like taking a picture of a mirror! The Bakelite base is intact with NO chips or cracks, and retains it's original luster. The gold foil Sunbeam logos on the handles are beginning to fade but are still legible. The light/dark control knob is sensitive, but works fine. The power cord is original and even has the Sunbeam logo on the plug. This cord is in great working condition and tested fine on my OHM meter with no resistance. Very clean on the inside with no crumb or carbon build-up. This toaster was obviously well cared for and looks pretty darn good for a 60 year old toaster. I re-calibrated the Light/Dark control knob. The medium setting resulted in the the toast as you see in the pictures. The only flaw I can see is that one piece of toast comes out darker than the other one. Without this flaw, this would be rated a 9.5 and be 75 to 100 dollars more. If your spouse likes darker toast, and you like lighter toast, then this toaster can even solve marital issues! I will be listing many more of my T-35s and T-20s. The prices vary depending on the condition and cleanliness of each toaster. I do not sell average toasters...they are disassembled for parts.
